Here we are in 2012. We have big plans for 2012 -- we'll continue to bring you great tunes every week, as well as guest mixes as much as we can. Also, plans to update the website (again). We've have started uploading the shows to Mixcloud as well -- so if that sort of thing is your cup of tea then you can find the shows here. And as always if you have suggestions and comments on the show please get in touch with us. Happy 2012!
The last show for 2011. Just put together a mix to start (or finish) your New Year's Eve. Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last year - those that listened, submitted mixes and spread the word. More to come in 2012!
After a massively long absence, your host Chord has returned to the controls. Due to the move to Europe, and waiting for shipments to arrive, dealing with gear repairs and a host of issues - things have returned to some stable state. So, a quick little mix to shake the dust off and as we continue to get things up and running. Enjoy and stay tuned!
As we continue to transition to the new setup we have another guest mix to fill the gap in the regular shows. This time around we have greek DJ Z63 with his mix "Near Dub Experience". Tune in for a deep and minimal techno set. Check out more from Z63: Z63 on SoundCloud.
It's been a long time since we've had a show, due in part to moving across the ocean and now further delays as equipment clears customs. Thankfully, we have lined up a guest mix to kick things off again. This time we have Greek DJ Herr Semi who has provided us with his mix "Zeitlupe". Big thanks to Herr Semi for this fantastic deep mix. Find out more about Herr Semi and subscribe to his great podcast series at his website: www.herrsemi.com
Another guest mix lined up for this week as we were away at a gig and unable to provide the sounds. We're thankful to AC James who has returned to show to provide another one of his deep, dubby mixes - Stages of Technology Vol. 2. Find out more about AC James here: www.projectxpander.weebly.com or http://soundcloud.com/acjames
It's July and we're still waiting for summer to really kick in, strange year for summer weather. Nevertheless, we continue our mission.
Dark techno for this week. Digging into the very warehouse German style tracks.
A deep excursion - pieces of techno and house. Keeping things slow and easy.
House tracks to help start the weekend off right.
Playing some techno this week... trying out some tracks for an upcoming show. Enjoy.
A shorter show than usual this week due to other party commitments - a quick journey through some deep dubby techno. Enjoy and see you next time.

Once again we're lucky to have a guest mix to fill the spaces when we're away and unable to have the live show. This time we have AC James - a fellow Canadian championing the deep and dubby electronic sounds. His mix STAGES OF TECHNOLOGY reflects this affinity proving a deep and heady mix. Spring is just around the corner (at least for us here on the west coast), the blossoms are starting to come out, the days are a bit longer and a bit warmer. We're itching for the easy warm summer days. To help out, some house tracks:
After a couple weeks of failed archives, this week we seem to have worked the kinks out. Still feeling the winter cold, so more deep, dark techno this time around.
No live broadcast this week, instead we bring you another in our series of guest mixes. This time around we are lucky enough to have Sinesthetix bringing us his mix entitled Decade. He describes it as: "basically its a dnb and dubstep mix that encapsulates my sound as its been refined over the past 10 years. Its creation took 3 months of endlessly obsessing over fine details to create what I feel is the best mix I have ever done." Have a listen and we'll be back broadcasting next week.

Continuing our mission this week with another house show. Can't get enough of the house vibes these days. Perhaps it's yearning for summer-y days and poolside lounging. Enjoy
Another week another show ... we're keeping it low, groovy and minimal this week. Feedback and comments welcome - www.dub.ca
It's 2011, and it's the first show of the year. We excited to be back broadcasting. We have plans to expand the show, so if you have comments, suggestion please get in touch (www.dub.ca)
It's the last show of 2010 and it's been a great year. The show audience continues to grow in size and we've started to expand the show by introducing guest mixes - which we hope to develop more in 2011. Thanks to everyone who listens and downloads the show. As always if you have any thoughts on how to improve the show - length, frequency, the live broadcast, music genres, bit rate... whatever please drop us a line. See you in 2011!
Chord back at the controls this week after being out of town (many thanks to Jacques for his guest mix). Slipping right into familiar territory with an all out house affair as we wind down 2010. Next week is the last show for the year.
There was no live broadcast this week, as Chord was away at a gig for the weekend, but we were lucky enough to arrange a guest mix. We hope to bring you more and more guest mixes in addition to the regular shows.
This week is a mix from Jacques.
Bio for Jacques -- Dennis Marchand who goes by Jacques is a 21 year old DJ residing in Victoria. His musical tastes stem from early listening to trance, happy hardcore and just about any techno remix he could find on limewire. After being a casual listener for some years he was exposed to the Shambhala Music Festival and had an epiphany. Since then Jacques has been on the prowl trying to keep ahead of the curve with his tracks and switches up his style often, not playing for too long in a particular sound/genre. Btw Jacque would love to play at your venue :).

A change of pace this time around as we are digging into the older ska, dub and reggae.
Wow, it's already November. Where did the months go? Not really sure, it's been a busy time around here. Anyhow, we're doing a quick broadcast before heading out to a DJ gig. Keeping things mellow and grooving as a warm up to the show later.
Back at it again after a couple of weeks away. Hope you enjoy the mix... this week mostly trying out some new tracks and prepping for a upcoming gig.
After weeks of technical issues we managed to record this weeks show. There were a few hiccups (bumped turntable, skipping needle etc)...can't seem to catch a break, but enjoy the mix warts and all.
Next time we'll be better, promise.
Whoops, we did it again. The archive of this show wasn't useable. We promise to be better next week... or at least we'll try to be better.
Unfortunately due to some technical errors we were unable to archive this show.
Deep and dubby tracks this time around to match the chilly weather that has settled in this week.
It's the tail end of summer, the weather is still good, but the nights are cooling off. We're keeping the backyard BBQ vibe alive with some deeper groovy tribal-ish tracks. Enjoy!

Feeling a bit glittery and fun, so starting things off with a bit of disco tinged tracks and then diving back into some house stuff. Summer is wrapping up, but the fun goes on. Enjoy!

Some cool wet weather has broken our string of warm sunny days.. so we're matching the weather and digging into dub / deep techno. A shorter show than regular due to some other commitments.

In the shadow of local electronic music festival (VEMF), this week's show takes it easy. Some grooving house tracks to help with that warm summer evening of relaxing on the back deck.

Unfortunately due to some technical errors we were unable to archive this show. This is fixed for the next shows. Also, we were able to fix an error that was preventing people from joining the live show stream.
We continue our mission of warm summery vibes... dipping a bit more into the techy side of the house pool. With the Soundwave festival on our mind we're feeling the deep groovy beach sounds. Enjoy!

Ah summer... warm days, cool drinks, summer music festivals. In celebration of such things we're deep into the stacks of house tracks.
We are safely back at the controls here at dub.ca headquarters. It feels good to be home and good to be working on the show once again. We are reading, rested and returning to full broadcasts- Berlin has energized us. Lots of new music (and old favourites) to come - and please forgive the 2 skips during the show... malfunctioning equipment.
Greeting from Berlin. It's almost time to leave Berlin and we managed to put together a mix in the makeshift "studio". We're sad to be leaving such a great city with so much fantastic music and art going on, but we're also glad to be going back home. Chord returns to the controls for this episode and has put together a collection of house-y summer tracks to help kick off the season.
Once again, 'hello' from Berlin. Today is a gorgeous spring day -- warm and cloudless. It's a bit of a rough morning since we were out late at a party ... a great example of the Berlin party scene... and full of great house music to boot. And once again Terrance Phillip (www.cimarroncorpe.com) comes to our aid with a guest mix for the show -- and it dovetails nicely with our evening as he has put together a lovely house mix. Enjoy show 421 -- Terrance Philip's Noosa Heads mix:
Greetings from Berlin. It's a beautiful spring week here in the city. Since we are here we can't do the live show, so instead of doing nothing we'll try to record a few mixes to put into the podcast. We are also lining up some guest mixes. And we're happy to have the first of those for show #420. This mix comes from Terrance Philip (www.cimarroncorpe.com). Enjoy the minimal tech vibe of his Barri Gotic mix:
This is the last show before we head to Berlin on tour. The regular shows will resume June 5th. Hoping to get in a few while away and get some guest DJs in to fill the gap.
This week's show is an all house affair - a lovely reminder of past summers. See you in 3 months. Check out dub.ca for show archives. Also, check out www.dub.ca/chord to keep tabs on the trip.

Busy times still here at dub.ca, so a bit slow getting this episode up to the archives. Enjoy the show - lots of house / tech house track for listening pleasure.
